Within Group Jansen, we believe that a global, fully integrated BIM approach allows us to avoid a number of problems. Thanks to BIM we are able to make use of useful opportunities that arise during every phase of the construction process. This means we can travel together towards our goal: the use and maintenance of your building.

Construction team of the future

As a client, you can count on an extensive BIM construction team at Group Jansen. We have a BIM department, but it mainly disseminates a love of BIM and knowledge throughout our company. It basically ensures that every Jansen colleague is steeped in BIM. The result? Everyone speaks the same language and works in a BIM-friendly way.

Three BIM levels

Our BIM department provides the necessary training sessions and serves as a help desk for everyone. They clearly distinguish between three levels: pros can model, advanced profiles can analyse and people on a basic level can consult all BIM models. As a client or designer, you obviously also want to be fully involved in your project. That’s why you are included in the basic level.

We also have preferred software for each level. Nevertheless, thanks to our experience with BIM, we are familiar with most BIM software packages. So the principle of open BIM comes first.

A clear BIM step-by-step plan

The design
A good design starts with a solid foundation. Our point cloud scanner helps with this. This device allows us to know the exact dimensions of the existing site. Our professionals create a design based on that data. We then bring your project to life using tools such as a rendering programme and VR glasses.

Preparation
Our advanced BIM users carry out analyses using the BIM model. A 3D representation in BIM gives us all the knowledge we need. How much carpet do we need? Do the architect’s and engineer’s plans match? And where do the minor flaws occur when the different disciplines come together? It’s the perfect way to check for clashes! Our Document Management and Issue Management systems are also linked to the 3D model. All the information is centralised and can be directly used and accessed by everyone.

Implementation
As an artisan, subcontractor, site manager, project manager or even as a client, you are always fully up to speed with every step of the project. One look at your BIM model, and you know how and when something is going to be implemented. You can do this at your desk or on site.

Building use and maintenance
We work together towards a 3D as-built plan. As the client, you have all the data in one clear overview. This means you can use your place to be as much as you want, while saving valuable time and resources on maintenance. That’s another area where Group Jansen excels!
